Payments

What currency is used for payments?
All prices are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are inclusive of all prevailing government taxes (e.g. GST etc).
Can I sign up for an Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) using my Debit Card?
Unfortunately, you are unable to use your debit card to perform an Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) transaction. Based on issuing bank requirements, IPP is only made available via valid DBS and POSB Credit Cards.
What is a security code/card verification number/CVC?

MasterCard/Visa
The last 3 digit code on the back of card, next to your signature.

American Express
The 4 digit code on the front of your card, above the end of your card number.

Why was my Credit/Debit Card declined?
Your card could be declined for several reasons. Make sure the card number, expiration date, and security code are entered correctly. Do contact the issuing bank of your Credit/Debit Card for further assistance.
Can I pay by instalments?

Yes, you can if you hold a DBS or POSB credit card.

DBS and POSB Credit Cardholders can opt to pay for their purchases via an interest-free instalment payment plan (IPP). The maximum limit that can be charged to your credit card per IPP transaction is capped at S$5,000.

DBS and POSB Credit Cardholders

DBS and POSB Credit Cardholders can opt to pay for their purchases via a 6-month or 12-month interest-free instalment plan.

Under the DBS/POSB 0% Instalment Payment Plan (IPP), DBS/POSB Credit Cardholders can choose to divide payments for their purchase (minimum of S$500) into six or twelve equal, interest-free instalments to be paid monthly, starting from their next billing month.

Cardholders with spend of less than S$1,000 in a single order may choose to pay via a 6-month interest-free instalment plan, while cardholders with a spend of S$1,000 or more will have an option to choose between a 6 or 12-month interest-free instalment plan.

What modes of payment do you accept?
You can make payment via the following modes:
1. Credit/Debit Cards – MasterCard, Visa and American Express
2.Paypal
3. Cash on Delivery (COD)*
4. Instalment Payment Plan (IPP)**

*Cash on Delivery (COD) is only available on selected products.
** Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) is only available to DBS, POSB, and UOB Credit Cardholders.

Delivery

Can you remove my old furniture from my home when I receive the delivery of my new furniture?

Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with old furniture removals.

However, we provide a free disposal service that is currently limited to old mattresses only. We are unable to dispose of other old furniture items as our delivery team does not have the resources to do so. Disposal of furniture will require us to move your furniture to a location in Singapore designated for furniture disposals.

Dumping of furniture in common areas such as the lift lobby or corridors is a potential safety/fire hazard that could attract heavy fines from the authorities.

However, you may contact your Town Council for their free bulky disposal service. For private properties, please contact your estate/building management for assistance.

Most Town Councils provide free disposal of the first three (3) moveable bulky items per month, with the exception of certain types of items. A fee will be chargeable by the Town Council for the removal of additional items. It is highly recommended for you to inform your respective Town Council of your request 1 week in advance.

How does 'Order Now, Deliver Tomorrow' service work?

Order Now, Deliver Tomorrow

Orders placed before 12pm

How does ‘Order Now, Deliver Tomorrow’ work? Customers who place orders before 12pm will receive their ordered products the following day. However, this is applicable to selected products available on SingaporeHomeFurniture and is subject to the delivery schedule and delivery route constraints. In the event that the delivery schedule for the next available working day is full, it will not be available for selection under the preferred delivery date section on the checkout page. Kindly select the next available date for the delivery of your order(s).

Orders placed after 12pm

For orders that are placed after 12pm, your order(s) will be delivered two days after you’ve made the order. Similarly, this is subject to the delivery schedule and route constraints. In the event that the delivery schedule for the next available date is full, it will not be available for selection under the preferred delivery date section on the checkout page. Kindly select the next available date for the delivery of your order(s).

Do you deliver nationwide?
Yes, we do! The estimated delivery time for your order to be delivered to you depends on the area zone of your delivery address.
How much is the Delivery Fee?

The following Delivery Rates stated are on the basis of per invoice to a single address in one trip:

Free Delivery

The order has to contain at least S$300.00 worth of items that are “Fulfilled By SGHF”.

To qualify for free delivery, your delivery location must also be accessible via elevator (i.e. on the same storey as lift landing) or must be on the same floor as the goods loading/unloading area.

Standard Delivery Fees

If your order does not qualify for ‘Free Delivery’ (see above), standard delivery fees imposed will range from S$5.90 – S$19.90, depending on the products in the cart.

After Hours Delivery Fees

Any delivery timeslots requested to be scheduled after 7pm during standard delivery days (i.e. from 9:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays) will be subject to a S$30.00 delivery surcharge. Surcharges paid are not refundable.

 

Do you deliver up staircases?

Staircase Delivery Fees

If the delivery crew is unable to send furniture to your location via the elevator at the point of delivery (eg. Furniture is unable to fit into elevator, elevator unserviceable upon delivery crew’s arrival, refusal of elevator access by building management, etc) SGHF will assess (at our own discretion) the feasibility of the furniture being carried up via the staircase in a non-hazardous manner.

Should delivery via staircase be deemed safe, additional charges per item will apply as follows:

– First non-lift-accessible storey free of charge (e.g. staircase delivery from ground floor to level two is free)

– Additional S$10.00 per item transported to a subsequent non-lift-accessible storey

How do I choose my preferred delivery date/time?

You can choose your preferred delivery date/time in immediately after your purchase.

In general, SGHF Delivery Team performs deliveries to most areas in Singapore from 9:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday (excluding public holidays). The estimated delivery time for your order to be delivered to you depends on the area zone of your delivery address.

The delivery date/time that you have chosen serves as an indication only of your preferred delivery timing to SGHF and is rarely subjected to change. However, SGHF will endeavor to fulfill your order according to your preferred timing on a best effort basis but cannot guarantee that it can always be met.

Should SGHF face difficulty in fulfilling your order within your preferred timing, you will be contacted the day before your preferred date of delivery to notify you of any change to the preferred date or time that you have chosen.

Do you provide International Shipping?
Yes, we do, at a fee between $50-$250.

Should you choose to utilize your own freight forwarder to ship the items to you, please make arrangements with your provider first before placing your order with us. Your freight forwarding provider may then collect your order from our warehouse when your order is ready for collection.

Do note that warranties for all products sold at SGHF are only valid within Singapore. SHF shall not be held responsible for any warranty or damages on products shipped out of Singapore.

How long do I have to wait for my item(s) to be delivered after I place my order?
The expected delivery lead time between 2-4 days for items smaller than 10kg and 14-21 days for items larger than 10kg.
I need the products urgently. How can you assist me?
The time taken for delivery depends on the lead time of the products that you’ve ordered. Please email us at hello@singaporehomefurniture.com, or call us at 8440 4412 if you require your products urgently and we will try our best to help.

Do you keep my Credit/Debit Card details?
SGHF does not process nor store any credit card information details of our customers.

All online Credit/Debit Card transactions are processed via a trusted third-party online payment gateway such as PayPal.

Will my personal details be released or sold to third parties?
At SGHF, your trust and privacy are important to us. We do not sell your personal data.

All personal information that you provide to us (e.g. your name, contact numbers, mailing and billing addresses, e-mail address, etc) is used purely to perform the service which you have requested.

Your information may be shared among our employees, delivery agents or distributors to fulfill the transactions with you. SGHF may also occasionally use this information to send you promotional messages, newsletters and/or conduct surveys and studies to improve our products and services to you. External parties may be engaged to perform these surveys and studies and may be given your information on a private and confidential basis to facilitate these surveys and studies.

Product Warranty

Do all products come with a warranty?
Yes. All products come with warranties with varying durations. You may easily locate and compare the warranty for each product.
DO I HAVE TO REGISTER FOR MY PURCHASED PRODUCT'S WARRANTY?
If the product(s) you’ve purchased came with a warranty card, please register by filling up the necessary details stated on the card and send it to the respective manufacturer(s). Some products may require you to register for warranties online. Kindly check with the manufacturer(s) of the product(s) for more information on warranty registration and coverage.

Warranties on furniture products sold by SingaporeHomeFurniture (if any), do not require registration. Your delivery invoice serves as proof of purchase for these items.

I BOUGHT AN ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE WHICH BROKE DOWN WITHIN A YEAR, IS THERE ANY WARRANTY?
Warranty is covered directly by the respective manufacturer. Kindly read and follow the instructions carefully on the warranty card packed together with the product for warranty to be effective. Please refer to the individual product descriptions for warranty period.

Return, Refund & Exchange Requests

What are the charges when I return my products?

It is absolutely FREE to return the products if you notice any manufacturing faults or defects. Returns are free for local orders only and are not applicable to products exported out of Singapore mainland.

SGHF may charge you for additional fees during the return trip. The charges are as follow:

Staircase delivery charges (as published on our website); Should your premises be inaccessible via the lift, surcharges will apply based on the number of storeys that the movers will need to climb in either direction from the nearest lift-accessible storey. If the returns are to be done in premises inaccessible via the lift, the surcharge will be charged again on the return trip.

Delivery location surcharge (as published on our website); For returns of products to selected locations, delivery surcharges that were charged to these selected locations will not be refunded. If the returns are to be done in surchargeable locations, the surcharge will be charged again on the return trip.

Delivery timing surcharge (as published on our website); For deliveries after 7pm, a surcharge will apply. If the returns are to be done after 7pm, the surcharge will be charged again on the return trip.

How do I return a product?

To return a product, simply follow these steps:

Step 1: Check if your product is eligible for return at the “Essential Info” on the relevant product page.

Step 2: Go to the “Contact Us” page on the top left of our website.

Step 3: Select the “Return Request” Option.

I've accepted a product that I do not require any more / am not satisfied with. What can I do?

We’re sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your purchase from SGHF.

The best way to check if the product you’ve purchased qualifies for returns or refunds is to check the “Essential Info” on the product page.

Subject to the terms and conditions set out here, all products qualify for a return except for the following:

  • Customised products
  • Clearance/1 SET OFFER/AS-IS products
  • Products that require on-site assembly
  • Modular Wardrobes
  • Bedroom sets
  • Products that are not in new and unopened condition
  • Products that have been removed from their original packaging, used, stained, torn, washed, discoloured, dented, damaged and/or with traces of fragrance or odours

What is your Exchange Policy?

We do not accept any form of exchange. Any requests for exchanges after delivery would be regarded as returns. The products that you wish to exchange can be returned and the price of the product will be refunded to you. Thereafter, you can place a separate order for the product you wish to exchange to.

For the return and refund of the product you wish to exchange to, our return and refund policy applies.

What is your Return and Refund Policy?

It is absolutely FREE to return the products if you are dissatisfied with your purchase. If you are qualified to return a product, you are likewise qualified for a refund too.

 

Request for returns should be made to us within one hundred (100) days from the delivery date for a full refund. The full refund amount will exclude any delivery, assembly, delivery timing, delivery location and/or staircase delivery fees paid when the original order was made. For more details of such charges, please click here.

All products qualify for a return except for the following:

  • Customised products
  • Clearance/1 SET OFFER/AS-IS products
  • Products that require on-site assembly
  • Modular Wardrobes
  • Bedroom sets
  • Products that are not in its new and original unopened condition
  • Products that have been removed from their original packaging, used, stained, torn, washed, discoloured, dented, damaged and/or with traces of fragrance or odours

Products should be unused, undamaged, in a resalable condition and with its original packaging fully intact. SGHF has the full discretion to decide whether any item is in a condition suitable for return and reserves the right to reject any returns if they are deemed unfit for return.

How will I be refunded?

All refunds for orders paid for via cash on delivery will be made via bank transfer.

Customers who have paid via credit card or Instalment Payment Plan methods will be refunded via the original mode of payment. Refunds for payments made via cash on delivery or credit card will be made within seven (7) working days.

A refund of payment made via the UOB 0% Interest-Free Online Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) and DBS/POSB 0% Interest-Free Online IPP are subjected to approval from UOB and DBS Bank respectively. No refunds in cash or cheque will be issued by SGHF on orders paid via the IPPs. Refunds for payments made via IPP will be issued within fourteen (14) working days.

A refund of payments made via PayPal will be in accordance with PayPal’s mode of refund. 

The refund amount will include only such amount which you have paid for and will not include the value of any discount, rebate or promotion that you did not pay for.

If you have purchased multiple items in one single order which has qualified you for certain discount and you have been refunded for a certain amount under the same order that has caused the total remaining value of the order to fall below the qualifying spending to avail that discount, such discount will become void and the original prices of the remaining products before discount shall be payable by you as an outstanding amount.
